Job Description:

M&T Glass is looking for a professional, high-energy Customer Service Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our residential and commercial glass services, you will play a critical role in managing our front-of-house operations, ensuring our clients receive the expert service they expect from an industry leader.

Core Responsibilities

Client Communications:
Act as the primary point of contact by answering multi-line phone systems and managing the general inquiry email inbox.

Quotation Management:
Assist in preparing and sending professional quotes to customers using our internal software systems.

Service Scheduling:
Coordinate with the technical team and glaziers to schedule site measurements, installations, and repairs across the Ottawa area.

Showroom Support:
Greet walk-in clients, provide basic information on glass types (tempered, laminated, GPW, etc.), and process payments.

Administrative Flow:
Maintain accurate digital records of customer interactions, work orders, and follow-ups to ensure no job falls through the cracks.

Requirements & Qualifications

Communication:
Excellent verbal and written English skills are mandatory. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a significant asset in the Ottawa market.

Technical Proficiency:
Ability to quickly learn industry-specific software; experience with glass-related terminology or construction scheduling is a plus.

Professionalism:
A calm, helpful demeanor—especially when managing busy phones or high-priority commercial clients.

Physical Capability:
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs (to assist with small glass samples or hardware deliveries within the showroom).

Organization:
High attention to detail; able to manage multiple quotes and schedules simultaneously without losing accuracy.
