What is a Window Sash?

The windows of your home consist of glass, and also the framework around it. The window sash is the part of the entire structure that holds the glass in place and ensures the glass stays put, with no holes between the frame.

Why would I need a Window Sash Repair?

Are you experiencing surface rot, water damage, or noise pollution? Your window sash could be to blame. Fortunately, you don’t have to necessarily replace the whole thing. If possible, we can restore and refurbish them for you! Unlike vinyl windows, wooden ones can be rebuilt with certain parts repaired. And at M&T Glass, our professional window repair team can fix your window sash to last up to thirty years! We’ll even match your design to preserve the look and charm of your home.

Once a problem with the window sash has been detected, many homeowners turn straight to a replacement. However, this is a costly decision that might not be necessary. In most cases, the window sash can be effectively repaired, especially when only a section is rotted and the rest is in good condition. Our team will first inspect your sash windows to determine the root of the problem, and if we can save you money with a repair instead. We’ll fix your windows with proven methods to ensure they last for years.

Broken Window Sash Repair

Did a flying baseball or broom handle accidentally break your window? A shattered window could also benefit from a sash repair as opposed to a full replacement. This keeps the key elements, such as the frame and casing, in place and replaces only the necessary sashes. This can turn an expensive replacement project into an affordable fix.

Whatever the problem with your window sash may be, we can make your wood windows look beautiful once again! We are experts at replacing old and damaged parts, and restoring window components to their original condition or an even better in some cases.

We’ll do everything in our power to repair them without altering their appearance.
